Remembering the North Shore Line

Why Its Memory Endures

Tonight’s Zoom presentation will explore all facets of the North Shore Line and illuminate the reasons its mystique endures 63 years after its abandonment. With well over 400 images in black-and-white and color, we’ll cover the North Shore’s early history, its various operations, and what made it the “Super Interurban” that it was in photos from the 1920s up to the final abandonment in 1963. The program will run about two hours with a 10-minute intermission. Mark your calendar and be sure to join us for an enjoyable and nostalgic evening back aboard the North Shore Line.

We will also have a short newscast preceding the regular program.

This program is open to all CERA members, their guests and the public.
