  • Friday, January 24, 2020
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • University Center, Loop River Room, 525 S. State St., Chicago, IL

David Wilson, historian and CERA member, will present a review of the evolution of rail transit in Philadelphia since he started visiting there regularly in the mid-1960s.  As usual, David will present a variety of images of Philadelphia rail transit — streetcars, rapid transit, electrified suburban rail transit — as it has evolved over the past 50 years. Be sure to attend what will be an entertaining and informative program!

Please note: The CERA Board has made a change in its admissions policy, as of the January 2020 program. Non-members may attend programs for a $5 fee, and CERA members in good standing may attend for free. CERA members may also bring one non-paying guest. Please present your membership card or pay your fee upon arrival.

JANUARY IS ALSO THE CERA ANNUAL MEMBERS MEETING
Before David Wilson’s presentation on Jan. 24, 2020, Central Electric Railfans’ Association will hold its annual members meeting in which the 2019 audit committee report will be presented and the results of the 2020 Board of Directors election will be announced. At the beginning of the meeting, CERA members will present their membership cards in order to receive a voting card which voting members may raise if any motions are made during the annual members meeting.
