What did the world look like 50 years ago? Back in 1968 David Wilson was a youth just out of high school who found himself with lots of money and endless weekends. Making use of both, David proceeded to spend much of the year visiting electric rail transit properties in Cleveland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Toronto while not neglecting our own CTA at home. He proceeded to photograph these cities extensively, the results of which he will share with you tonight.

So, step back into the “Wayback Machine” with David as we set the year for 1968 and see what rail transit looked like in these cities 50 years ago.
