Newest CERA LinksWe have added a link to Columbus Railroads to the Railfan websites. The site is run by CERA member Alex Campbell and features various types of rail transport from Columbus, Ohio. It is a fascinating site with photos of horse drawn rail, electric streetcars, interurbans and other information. We have also added a new category of links: Collector Links. This page of links will focus on websites that are devoted to collectors of specific types of memorabilia such as time tables or transfers. The inaugaral link is a website devoted to collectors of interurban time tables: The Timetable Trust Catalog of Public Railway Timetables of North America. So if you are a collector of time tables check this site out. If you have a website that you would like us to add to our links, please email the link with information about the site to the CERA webmaster (webmaster@cera-chicago.org). The webmaster will check out the site and if it is appropriate for CERA's site, we shall add it. Other electric railfan organizations are encouraged to submit their sites for an additional section of Organizations. MuseumsWe have provided links to the web sites of North American railway museums that feature electric railway operations. Where a museum does not have a web site, we have provided a short description of the museum. The list of museums is in alphabetical order, first by state or province abbreviation, then by location. To find the museum you are most interested in scroll down until you find it, then click. If the museum has a Web site, the link will open in a new window. If there is no site, then you will be taken to a page on the CERA site with information about the museum. Click here to view the list of museums. Current Electric Rail TransitWe have provided links to the official websites of all North American cities that operate any type of electric rail transit. In a few cases we could find no official site; however, we listed the city anyway for completeness. The list is in alphabetical order by state, then within each state, by city. For this list Canada is listed within the states. For each city we listed the kind of transit operated: HR for heavy rail (rapid transit), LR for light rail (streetcar), Heritage for vintage streetcar operation, Suburban electric, and PM for people mover. Click here to view the list of official transit sites. Future Electric Rail TransitWe have provide links to web sites that describe planned electric rail transit. Click here to view the list of future electric rail transit sites. Magazines/Periodical of Traction InterestWe have provided links to the web sites of various magazines/periodicals that may be of traction interest.
