The Traction Films of Everett White
Atlantic City Trolley Days
The first of our two DVD presentations for the night is a collection of mostly color movies of various traction properties filmed between 1940 and 1965. Over 30 lines are covered with everything from cable cars in Seattle to Leonard’s M&O Subway in Ft. Worth on a tour that will take you from the Chicago area, through the Midwest, and ultimately to the Pacific. (Viewing time: 1 hour)
The second DVD of color films will serve as a preview to CERA’s 2018 book Atlantic City Traction. In this presentation you’ll be able to view the bouncing Brilliners and standard equipment of the city system as well as the fascinating Shore Fast Line with its combination of overhead and third rail operation. (Viewing time: 42 minutes)

The Loop River Room is located on the second floor. After entering the lobby, go through the glass doors on your left for stair and elevator access to the area. Doors open at 6 p.m.
